Changing blades and varying cuts

Replace a blade only when the mandoline is empty and your hands are away from the cutting surface. Check that the piece is correctly positioned before starting again. Do not force a mechanism that resists, and consult the user manual if the assembly differs depending on the blade.

Firm vegetables can be cut into slices or julienne, while very soft or very small foods can be difficult to hold. Stop cutting when only a small piece remains to be held.

Safety precautions

Mandoline blades are sharp, even when they appear minimally exposed. Always keep your fingers and palms away from the path of the food. Do not use the utensil without a stable surface and do not attempt to catch a container or food that falls during cutting.

Do not leave the mandoline assembled in a place accessible to children. Fold it or put it away only after removing or securing the blades in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.

Cleaning and storage

Remove residue after each use and clean the container, base, and blades with care. Use a small brush for hard-to-reach areas, then dry each piece completely. Check the user manual before putting anything in the dishwasher.

Store the blades separately or in their protective covers if the product includes one. Do not use the mandoline if a blade is bent, cracked, or poorly attached.
